This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit our website, make a purchase, create an account, or otherwise interact with SilixAI. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We also include information for individuals located in the EU/EEA & UK (GDPR/UK GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA).
This notice is informational and not a contract. If we update it, we’ll change the “Last updated” date and, where required, notify you.
1. What we collect
We only collect what we need to operate our store, fulfil orders, provide support, and comply with law.
1.1 Information you provide
- Identity & contact: name, email, phone, billing/shipping addresses.
- Order details: products purchased, delivery preferences, notes.
- Account details (optional): username, hashed password, order history, saved addresses.
- Support communications: messages you send us (email, forms, phone).
- Bank transfer confirmation: payment reference or remittance you provide.
We do not collect sensitive information (e.g., health/biometrics) and we do not want information about anyone under 16.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device & usage: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, timestamps, referral source.
- Cookies & similar tech: strictly necessary cookies to run the cart, checkout, fraud-prevention and security. (See Cookies below.)
1.3 Information from third parties
- Payment processors (current): Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay); your bank for direct bank transfer.
- E-commerce platform: WordPress + WooCommerce (site operation).
- Hosting & infrastructure: Hostinger (website hosting).
- Email/SMTP provider: a transactional email service used to send order and account emails.
- Shipping partners: Australia Post and/or Sendle (to deliver your order).
Planned/optional services (not active unless we turn them on): Afterpay, Klarna, analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), advertising pixels. If activated, we will update this policy and obtain any required consents.
2. Why we collect and how we use your information
- To provide the store and services: process orders, take payment, ship items, manage returns/warranty.
- Account features (optional): login, order history, saved details.
- Customer support: respond to inquiries, order updates.
- Security & fraud prevention: protect the site, accounts, and transactions.
- Legal & compliance: tax/audit records, responding to lawful requests.
- (If enabled later) Analytics & improvements: understand site performance and fix issues.
- (If you opt-in) Marketing: sending product or update emails; you can unsubscribe anytime.
Lawful bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
- Contract: to fulfil your order or provide an account/support.
- Legitimate interests: site security, fraud prevention, service improvement (balanced against your rights).
- Legal obligation: record-keeping, consumer and tax laws.
- Consent: non-essential cookies/analytics/marketing, if we switch them on.
3. Payments
We never store raw card numbers on our servers.
- Stripe processes card payments, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Stripe receives necessary payment data and uses it under its own privacy policy.
- Direct Bank Transfer (Australia): when you choose bank transfer, you pay from your bank to Meetaili International Pty Ltd (Westpac). We record the payment reference and amount.
- Planned but not currently active: Afterpay and Klarna. If we enable them, those providers will receive order and contact details needed to assess and provide their service, under their own privacy notices.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We disclose personal information only to:
- Service providers/“processors”: Hostinger (hosting), WordPress/WooCommerce (site operation), transactional email provider (order emails), Stripe (payments), banks (bank transfer), Australia Post/Sendle (shipping), security/fraud-prevention tools.
- Professional advisers & insurers: where needed for our business or legal purposes.
- Authorities/law enforcement: if legally required or to protect rights, safety and property.
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, subject to confidentiality.
We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. If that ever changes, we’ll update this notice and provide required opt-out links.
5. International transfers
Our providers may store or process data in Australia and other countries (for example, the EU/EEA, UK, US or Singapore). When we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps consistent with APP 8 (Australia) and, where applicable, use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for GDPR/UK GDPR.
6. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or to comply with law:
- Order & tax records: generally 7 years (accounting/audit obligations).
- Support communications: up to 2 years after resolution.
- Account data: while the account is active; deleted on request unless required to keep by law.
- Cookies: per their purpose and expiry (see below).
When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or de-identify it.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
- Essential cookies (always on): required for cart/checkout, session management, security, load balancing.
- (Optional, off by default) Analytics/advertising cookies: if we enable them in future, we will present a cookie banner/consent and allow you to manage preferences.
You can also control cookies via your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break site functionality.
8. Your choices
- Guest checkout: you can purchase without creating an account.
- Marketing emails: unsubscribe at any time via the link in the email.
- Cookies: (when non-essential cookies are enabled) set preferences in our cookie banner, or block via your browser.
- Account: you can update your account details in Account → Account details.

- Access & correction: request access to, or correction of, your personal information.

EU/EEA & UK (GDPR/UK GDPR) – if you are located there
- Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdraw consent (where processing relies on consent).
- We rely on contract, legitimate interests, consent (for non-essential cookies), and legal obligations.
- We will respond within the timeframes set by GDPR/UK GDPR. If we process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you can object, and we will consider your objection in line with the law.
California (CCPA/CPRA) – if you are a California resident
- Know/access, correct, delete personal information.
- Opt-out of sale/share: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.
- Non-discrimination: we won’t discriminate for exercising your rights.
We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the risk, including TLS encryption in transit, hardened hosting, access controls and least-privilege practices. No system is 100% secure; if we become aware of a data breach likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and regulators as required by law.
